What is this site all about? 

Welcome to the Oilfield's number one friend. This website is designed initially for you to locate long lost friends and colleagues from your past and also keep in touch with present ones. However in addition to this it is our ultimate aspiration to make this site one of the largest databases on the web for working or visiting various countries of the world. Coupled to this will be a fully customisable home page for members to adapt themselves, photo galleries, forums, instant chat, Jobs, property letting and selling. As the website grows we intend to include Oilfield Wives and Oilfield Kids within this site.

Oilfield Wives: How many times have you worked in countries with your families and have promised to keep in touch with your friends? With the best intentions you never do and lose track of them. How many of your wives have belonged to the golf or bridge club and have often wondered what has happened to those people.

Oilfield Kids: How many of your kids have grown up and then left for boarding school or moved to another area and have lost track of friends they used to have?

This will be a great way to find everyone again and renew friendships. Unlike other websites where only a bare minimum of information is available, our website will continue to grow into whatever the members want it to be. To make this site work, each new member will be asked to create their own set of profiles listing where they have been and when. This will stretch across rigs, platforms, bars, recreation clubs and so on. As a result of creating these profiles the database will automatically populate a list of possible friends who were in the same place at the same time. You can also look at each place and see other friends and be able to search their friends as well.  If you see someone you know then just send them a request to be a friend.  It is as easy as that.

With the most up to date information possible you can find information regarding a company, place of work, country, person, where to see, how to get there, where to stay, what activities are available, clubs to join, sports, trips, hotels, bars etc.

The list will be endless as more and more people become members. It is not just a website for Rigs and Platforms but is for anything or anybody with an association with the oilfield. For example this will include Diving Operations and Support, Standby Vessels, Supply / Service Boats, Helicopter Operations, Tankers, Pipeline Companies, Refineries, Shipyards / Construction.
